Nurses Month is Almost Here. Let's Restore Together.

“America’s nurses are the beating heart of our medical system.”

BARACK OBAMA

The American Nurses Association has expanded National Nurses Week to a month of recognition, as part of the continued Year of the Nurse celebration. The theme of Nurses Month is Nurses Make a Difference. Each week in May the ANA has provided a specific theme to support and recognize the commitment you make to meeting the needs of your patients and communities. We are excited to offer ways to Replenish that coincide with each weekly theme to recognize the amazing work YOU do.

Week 1
Self-Care

May 1 - 9

When is the last time you focused on YOU? This week take time to care for your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. To help guide you, we have created Care Packages in collaboration with Aud & El Apothecary. This toolkit invites you to Root, Rise, and Restore. It’s a guided journey back to yourself with themed inspiration to grow your visions into dreams. Included in the kit are 2 10-minute guided Micro-Restorative Practices designed by Pam, a Heartwarmer, journal, candle, recipes, and more.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to fund grants and programs that develop nurse leaders to improve healthcare everywhere. If this box sparks wonder don’t wait because supplies are limited.

On
Nurse Appreciation Day – May 6th we will provide a FREE Micro-Restorative Practice that will focus on Self-Care. Be sure to follow us on social media so you don’t miss out!

Week 2
Recognition

May 10 - 16

We believe nurses deserve recognition every day for the critical work they do. Studies show meaningful recognition plays a role in reducing burnout and raising compassion satisfaction.

To recognize the amazing compassionate care you provide, we will continue to offer our Care Packages at a hugely discounted rate and hope you will consider purchasing one to recognize a nurse you love or admire. This week we will also donate a Care Package (a $90 value), to a nurse you believe could use some extra recognition. To nominate a nurse, please submit the name of the nurse you wish to love bomb and why. You may do this privately via email or on our social media posts. Let’s share stories and make connections to express how much we appreciate and depend on each other!

Week 3
Professional Development

May 17 - 23

As nurses we understand the importance of professional development to help manage your learning and growth throughout your career. It is important that you continue to learn and develop to keep your skills and knowledge up to date and ensure you continue to work safely, and effectively. Our Care Package hopes to remind you of your buried potential and inspire your visions for the future. It’s our time as nurses to lead change, imagine new beginnings, and restore the pulse of compassion in our communities.

Take some time this week to focus on developing seeds of Self-Care. On May 18th we will be offering a free 30-minute introductory webinar on the 7 Dimensions of Self-Care to support, inspire, and encourage your well-being. Join us to gather tools to help you grow!

Week 4
Community Engagement

May 24 - 31

Supporting our communities and encouraging well-being for all is at the core of Replenish’s values. We understand we are all part of a larger, interconnected community and nurse’s play a critical role in educating and empowering health and well-being.  We know that when we restore, we have more to give. Our hope is that when we take the time to tend to ourselves, it generates more strength to recirculate care so we can spread compassion faster than any virus.

Sometimes the best form of self-care is community care. This week is an opportunity to deepen your commitment to change in our world. Each of us has a role. It is more important than ever we strengthen connections to the extraordinary visionaries and healers who have used compassion as a force for justice and renewal. This week let’s grow inspiration and hope. Follow our socials to hear about the people who inspire us to foster change. We promise they will ignite your imagination for how you can use your gifts to create pathways for health, healing, and well-being in your community.

In addition to our regular support, this week we will also be supporting Nurses House a place that inspires kindness, care and compassion.

As we begin this month of recognition, we remain committed to connecting and collaborating with you as our peers. Let’s share our hopes and dreams for the future so we can continue to Make A Difference.

Because, if there is one thing, we know for sure…it’s that we are stronger together.

Thank you for joining us in restoring and recirculating the flow of compassion!
